Supervision is a space for reflection, support, and growth. Whether you are in training, newly qualified, or an experienced practitioner, I aim to offer a safe and collaborative relationship where your practice, wellbeing, and professional development are nurtured.
I completed BACP-accredited Level 6 Supervision Training and draw on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. This model allows us to look at different aspects of your work - your client, your interventions, our supervisory relationship, and the wider systems that may affect your practice. In simple terms, it means we explore together not just what happens in the counselling room, but also how you experience it, and how I can support you to stay resourced and effective.
My supervision style is supportive, yet gently challenging, helping you to notice strengths, reflect on dilemmas, and deepen your awareness of self in practice. I believe supervision works best as a partnership, where openness and trust allow us to look honestly at what is working well and where you may need more support.
In recent years, I have also developed a special interest in offering supervision for Autistic counsellors. This is still a growing and much-needed area within the UK, and I am passionate about creating supervision that recognises, values, and adapts to the unique experiences of Autistic practitioners. I approach this work with flexibility, openness, and a willingness to explore different ways of working together - ensuring supervision feels safe, respectful, and genuinely supportive. My aim is to provide a space where Autistic counsellors can reflect on practice without masking, and where their perspectives are seen as strengths in the therapeutic world.
Supervision with me is:
I currently work with qualified counsellors, trainees, and professionals seeking reflective practice. Together, we will tailor supervision to your needs, ensuring it supports both your clients’ wellbeing and your own.
“A collaborative space for Autistic counsellors — where masking isn’t needed.”
Finding the right supervision can be particularly challenging for Autistic counsellors. Traditional models of supervision often assume neurotypical ways of working, which can sometimes leave Autistic practitioners feeling unseen, misunderstood, or pressured to mask.
I have developed a growing specialism in providing supervision that is neurodiversity-affirming, flexible, and respectful of difference. My aim is to create a space where Autistic counsellors feel fully accepted and supported - where you don’t need to mask, and where your lived experience is valued as a strength in the therapeutic relationship.
Supervision with me may include:
This is a collaborative process. I bring my professional training (BACP Level 6 Supervision, Seven-Eyed Model) and my willingness to adapt, listen, and learn from you. My growing interest in this area is also supported by my current MA studies in Autism Research at Sheffield Hallam University, which are deepening my understanding and practice. Looking ahead, I hope to take this further through doctoral research - continuing to explore how supervision can best support Autistic practitioners in a neurodiversity-affirming way.
If you are an Autistic counsellor seeking supervision, or if you are considering training and would like a supportive supervisor who understands the importance of difference, I warmly invite you to reach out.
